Termite inspections and treatment

Spiderman YP offers a range of physical and chemical treatment and prevention options for termites. We will advise on the most suitable option for your property. Variables include the species of termite, the level of infestation, and the nature of the site. We begin with a thorough inspection of your property.

Inspections

The Spiderman YP technician will arrange a time to inspect your property. Whether your place is a residential home, an office building, school, commercial or industrial property, we will inspect, advise the best solution, and provide a written report. Your technician will:

Inspect all buildings, structures and attachments containing timber and cellulose within the property.
Inspect timber fences, decks, pergolas, outbuildings, trees and landscape timbers within the property.
Following an inspection, provide a detailed report including a treatment program and quotation. This may include recommendations for monitoring, baiting systems, physical and/or chemical barrier treatments, and termite colony location and eradication.

All Spiderman YP timber pest inspections are carried out in accordance with Australian Standards.

The technology we use

Spiderman YP technicians are equiped with the latest technology to use whilst conducting your termite inspection; the Termatrac Termite Detector, the Flir Thermal Imaging System and Borescope inspection camera.

Our technicians are certified users of the Termatrac Termite Detector—a devise which gives us the ability to perform non-invasive inspections including identifying high risk termite areas. It allows us to accurately detect, confirm and track the presence of termites, plus locate nests, mud-leads and entry points. We can access areas buildings/homes, that without this technology, would be impossible; including inside wall cavities and sub-floors without needing to cut traps and entry points. The findings are easily included into your comprehensive Timber Pest Inspection Report and it enables a more cost effective treatment plan.

The Flir Thermal Imaging System aids in the detection of hidden termites in wall, floor and ceiling cavities. It works by picking up radiated electromagnetic energy from the surfaces in the infra red range, and creates a thermal image/pattern on the screen. Your technician can then analyse the image to detect the possible presence of active termites. Having detected where the termites—or other pests—may be active, it may then be necessary to confirm their presence, or find another cause for the different temperature or moisture readings by further investigation.

A Borescope inspection camera may be used if a more invasive investigation is required. After making a small inspection point, we can get a closer look in places not otherwise available.

Used either individually or together, our equipment aids the technician’s eyes, allowing a thorough inspection.
